Aquamarine or an Amethyst for a Pisces?
If you are a Piscean that means you were born between February 19th and March the 20th. You are one of the water elements with a colour preference of Mauve, lilac, purple, sea-green and Violet. Pisces people are known for being creative, compassionate, calm and wise.
This Zodiac is often represented by two fish swimming in opposite directions around in a circle. This represents the duality of Pisces. It is said that this Zodiac is a good mediator either representing two states of mind and the link between them or as a bridge between life and death. The stylistic glyph is as the below image;
We always love hearing about myths and folklore, this Zodiac sign is linked to the story of Aphrodite and her son Eros; ‘who escaped from the monster Typhon by leaping into the sea and transforming themselves into fish. By a different version, they were by the river Euphrates at the time, and jumped into the river, not the sea. When they jumped into the water, they tied themselves together with rope, in order not to lose each other’.
The main gemstones to represent this star sign is Aquamarine which is also the planetary stone. Other birthstones to represent this Zodiac are Amethyst, bloodstone, jet and rock crystal. Sapphire is the Talismanic stone.
Amethyst; this is such a malleable stone as you can do so much with it. It can be used as Mother Nature intended with crystals or through to carved intricate stones. Colours vary from lilacs to intense aubergines. Amethyst is also the birthstone for February of which we have already written a little ditty…..check that out here.
Aquamarine; This is known for the colour of the delicate pastel blue hue (the blue form of the stone beryl) but it can also be found near colourless and soft green hues. The largest solid crystal of Aquamarine is over 19 inches long! This watery coloured gem is mined in Afghanistan, Brazil, Vietnam, Madagascar, Mozambique, Zambia and Nigeria. This stone was often worn by sailors to protect them from perilous journeys and wars back in the day. In modern day scenarios Aquamarine is a calming and soothing stone. It heals the body if aggravated in many situations, run down with a virus? Keeping cool calm and collected in an argument. Aquamarine enables to wearer to see clarity and keeps lines of communication open.
